We have yet to have a blizzard here in Connecticut, bu\t I am ok with that and incredibly ready to transition my decor for the Spring season. I love to bring bright colors into my home to cheer everyone up because the Winter can get a little dreary.
If you are new here, my name is Amanda and my blog is about Home Decor inspiration, Motherhood and Lifestyle trends. I am honest and to the point because I want my kids to grow up and be the same way. Now that we are better acquainted (you can even read my “about me” to hear more), I want to share with you five quick tips to refresh your bathroom for Spring.
Today I am sharing with you some updates I made to our Master Bathroom along with five easy decor tricks to get you Spring ready.
Add New Towels
Nothing says Spring like new white linens. I added a new fringe hand towel along with two new bath towels. The bath towels were a his and hers with pink stripes. My husband doesn’t mind the pink, we have three ladies in the house and all that matters to him is that they are soft. These towels are not only pretty to look at, but they are super soft and of great quality.
Bring in fresh flowers or greenery
I love having greenery all year long. If we can’t see it outside, there is no reason why we can’t have it inside, even if it is faux. When the warmer weather does come around, I like adding fresh flowers to the bathroom. If you can’t find fresh flowers, adding faux in a vase with water is equally as nice and will stay longer too.
Change Out Your Shower Curtain
We all need a new shower curtain to change up the look. I added a floral white curtain to add some class to the bathroom. Most of the time I don’t have a “classic” shower curtain and often use regular curtains. Sometimes your choices are limited and shopping for curtains gives you more of a selection.
Declutter and Remove Unused Items
Now is the time to look through your cabinets and clean off your countertops. Go through all of your makeup and toiletries and make sure nothing is expired. You can also shop for clear bins for your drawers to make your space look cleaner and more accessible.
Add a Fresh Coat of Paint or New Fixtures
I chose to paint my cabinets white. I will probably pick out new knobs and a new faucet with time. I hand painted my cabinets, but will eventually spray paint them to make a more cohesive look. My cabinets prior were a dark walnut and they made the space look very dark and small. When I painted them white it brought new life to the bathroom.
While we have a house full of kids, which I love, we still are able to keep a clean bathroom, most of the time. We keep the kids towels and bathrobes behind the door and their step stool in the closet. The kids do such a good job at putting their clothes in the hamper and love their routines each day.
With just a five tips, you will be on your way to a refreshed bathroom for Spring.
