When it comes to Valentine’s Day, we love to decorate. This is our second year creating a Valentine’s Day tables cape. You can refer back to last years table here where we transformed the dining room table. This year, the kids wanted to decorate their new craft table in their room. We also transformed the letter board as well to say “YOU ARE MY VALENTINE”. We used wood letters from Michael’s Stores and spray painted them black. In order for them to stay on the wall, we used 3M pull and peel stickers.
Our inspiration this year for our Kids Room Decor for Valentine’s Day was black and red to coordinate with our Beddy’s Bedding. We talk here about ways to transform your children’s room for the day of love. I was able to make it a cost effective transformation as well because we used the same decor from Christmas with the red and black check decor.
For the decor specific to Valentine’s Day, we found in Targets Bullseye Playground. The scrabble pieces, heart cards and envelopes, heart banner and hello love banner came from Bullseye as well. Aside from the food and plates and bowls, the other decor I had around the house.
We used Kraft paper for the table runner and rolled it up into cone-shaped for the cotton candy. We bought donuts from our local and WELL-KNOWN donut shop. We put chocolate hearts and pink candy in the glass jars.
An added touch was the letter board with “Roses are Red”. I also styled our Chalkboard sign and used chalkboard markers to draw the hearts on the board.
The kids love to set the table and having special plates and bowls for Valentine’s Day. We used a berry basket on top of the plates to hold white powdered donuts and tied them with a string. They also gave each other one miniature cupcake.
I placed all of the other special treats on white, pink and natural pedestals to give layers to the table.
We added milk in the milk bottles for the kids and placed pink striped paper straws in them and topped the straws with cotton candy.
The kids really had a fun time with the scrabble letters and making fun works with them. I love purchasing items that have more then one use.
I loved how this table came out in the kids room, but what I loved even more was their faces when it was complete. They are so appreciative of everything I do for them. We don’t need a day to commemorate our love for one another, we do this every day, but I do like to take the time out to make them feel extra special.
From our home to yours, Happy Valentine’s Day.
