I have teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers to bring you some amazing Instant Pot recipes to choose from.
I don’t know about you, but I need quick meals when we have activities directly after work. This is our go-to recipe when we have a jam packed day. Not to mention it is a family favorite, so its a WIN-WIN.
My favorite meal since I was a kid was pasta with sauce. I have definitely passed on my love for pasta to my kids because they now enjoy it too. I do make my own “Sunday Sauce,” but when I need something quick and on hand, Raos Marinara Sauce is the closest to homemade I have ever found. My Italian neighbor growing up would never use anything jared or canned and I sold her on Rao’s too. Needless to say, I used Rao’s Marinara and Rao’s Spaghetti in this recipe. It is a personal preference and definitely not required, but I will GUARANTEE it is delicious.
The brunt of the work is dicing the onion and garlic, but that is the hardest part of this recipe. After that, you basically dump all the other ingredients and then wait for the Instant Pot to do the rest of the work.
Here we have the diced onion and garlic. I use fresh garlic and onion on top of the seasonings. You can make this recipe easier and omit the fresh ingredients, but I think it adds to the flavor and I am quite partial to garlic.
The garlic and onion have been added and are translucent. The ground beef is now cooking and turning brown. Thereafter, you will remove the ground beef to get rid of the fatty oil.
Look at these beautiful colors! The ground beef mixture has been added back to the pot and the spaghetti has been broken in half. The diced tomatoes have been added.
The final step is the jar of Rao’s tomato sauce and the water. At this point, the spaghetti has fully been covered and the Instant pot is ready to work its magic.
Here we have it! From My Table to Yours: Instant Pot Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. Serve alongside a piece of garlic bread and a fresh garden salad. Bon Appetit!
Ingredients
1/2 Medium Yellow Onion
2T Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic Seasoning
1 tsp Onion Seasoning
2 Cloves Garlic
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 Pound Spaghetti Noodles (I used Raos brand)
1 (24 Ounce) Jar Spaghetti Sauce (I used Raos brand)
36 Ounces Water
1 (14.5 Ounce Can) Diced Tomatoes
Directions
- Put Instant Pot on sauté and add 2T extra virgin olive oil.
- Chop 1/2 small onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Add to insta pot. Allow the garlic and onion to cook until it is translucent (about 1-2 minutes). Add the garlic seasoning, Italian seasoning and onion seasoning and mix well.
- Add 1lb. ground beef to the pot. When the ground beef is cooked, remove the contents from the pot and place on a plate with paper towel to absorb the fat and oil.
- Put the ground beef mixture back into the pot.
- Break the spaghetti in half and place on top of the ground beef.
- Pour the diced tomatoes over the spaghetti and add the jar of tomato sauce.
- Use the empty jar of tomato sauce and fill with water 1 1/2 times and add to insta pot. By now, all of the spaghetti should be thoroughly covered.
- Seal the instant pot and set it to MANUAL MODE, HIGH PRESSURE and set for 10 minutes. The instant pot will take some time for the cook time to start given the amount of liquid in the pot. When the time is finished, use the manual quick release to open the Instant Pot. Stir the spaghetti in the pot and serve with grated parmesan cheese.

Hi Lory, I used ground beef and cooked it right into the tomatoes and pasta. The instant pot is just amazing and cooks the meat to perfection.
