Every summer is different with the kids home. They change so much and their own personalities are beginning to blossom. These short couple of months gives us so much time together. My kids would do anything for one another. They don’t eat a popsicle without making sure they each have one. They truly are best friends who prefer each others company over anyone else’s. That in itself is such a blessing to watch as a mother. Without getting all sappy and I am already starting to cry like a baby, I wanted to share with you a back to school tablescape I created for the kids. I am actually going to recreate it when they get home from school on their first day.
I used a fringe backdrop and a banner over my window. I added a chalkboard table runner that I am going to write on for their actual party. I made their own pennant flags to make their place settings more personalized. Each place setting has a notebook, pennant flag, plates, napkin and how darling are these milk constainers? I added some sprinkles to the top for an added touch.
You all know how much I love my Etsy shops. I had to include some of my favorites and liked all of the items below from the grade school back to school pencil (this includes PRE-K through 12th grade), a sensory back to school bin, confetti and home made play dough. The felt garland down the center of the table with the felt pencils just made everything pop.
I wanted the kids to know how proud I was of them. This is a huge back to school year for my children. I can’t believe we are hear again already. I could not be prouder of my children and the little beings that they are, but I just wish I could freeze time for a little while to keep us here and enjoy the moments a little longer. They are growing up quicker then I could have ever imagined. The greatest gift I have ever been given in life is my three beautiful children.
