When it comes to designing holiday cards, the task can seem overwhelming. You have parties to attend to, presents to buy, Christmas decor to setup and Christmas photos to take. The list is never ending. One of the best things that I have done for my kids is take photographs ever year for special occasions, including Christmas. We look back at these photos all time time. My kids pull the books off the shelves and just scroll through the pages, remembering all our happy memories. Even though life is busy, it is so important to set aside time to take photos and send out cards to your loved ones.
The task of making a holiday card really is quite simple when you use a company like Shutterfly. It honestly took me from start to finish five minutes to upload out Christmas photos, choose envelopes and proceed to checkout. I did however take a little longer this year because I did a write up on each of my children and how much they have grown this year. Shutterfly had space under each photo of my kids so I could talk about their achievements and milestones.
My home decor was green, gold and ivory so I went with that color scheme as it had a very classic feel. I was able to find a tri-fold greeting card to match my theme perfectly. They have some amazing options that allowed me to have a six photos included on my card. We also chose an evergreen tree envelope insert along with white envelopes. I really had so much fun creating our cards. To make my life even easier, you are able to add your return addresses to each envelope. You can go a step further and include recipient addresses too, but we didn’t add that service this time.
