Valentine’s Day means so much to my family and I. I try to make every single holiday meaningful for my kids. Some days my son will stop me in my tracks and tell me about a past holiday or event that he remembered. Sometimes they are little things like a craft or where he remembered Buddy (his Elf on the Shelf) hid to larger things like last years St. Patrick’s Day where the leprechaun left a rainbow paper trail. These are the moments I live for.
The kids have now started to take interest in decorating: arranging the centerpiece, laying out the placemats and plates. I am not only showing them my love for decor and sharing a piece of my heart with them, but showing them responsibility and how to lend a helping hand.
It is very simple to get the look of my Valentine’s Day Neutral Table Inspired Decor. You don’t have to layer on the decor, just a few pieces can give the table what it needs. I guarantee that this decor will also fit every style and budget. I wanted a table that was functional and we could enjoy every day up until the holiday. I chose pale pink for the color of love, black to pick up the wall artwork and natural tones from the table.
I will typically only design the table with a placement or table runner, but I decided to create some layers to this table. I added the runner in the center of the table and added a placement to each pacesetting with a round
Now that you have the perfect table top decor, all that is left is the food. Don’t worry, the kids and I love to cook in the kitchen and we will be whipping up some dishes to share with you.
Sit back and enjoy this Valentine’s Day surrounded around the table with the ones you love the most. These are the moments that we will always remember and so will they.
