Fall is approaching us and I want you to gather your family and friends at your table this season. I have put together the most gorgeous dining room table with all the decor from Walmart.
Choose a color palette
Before you even start thinking about decor, choose a color scheme you would like to go with. For my Fall table, i decided on hues of purple, caramels and tan. I wanted to use some of the decor pieces I already had to be cost effective, but I wanted the colors of the season to pop.
Use seasonal fruit
What is better then decor? Decor that you can enjoy and eat too. I love adding seasonal fruit to my table. I either add fruit to a beautiful bowl or as a centerpiece. I chose to group some pears together and add then to a bowl. When guests come over, I can add one pair to each plate and even tie a tag as a name card.
Add throw blankets and pillows
When I think of Fall, I think of comfort. I envision my family wrapped in blankets and getting cozy on the couch together. I added all the comforts of home to the table. I used pillows and throw blankets. When the table is not in use, these same pillows and blankets can transition nicely to my living room or even the bedroom.
Layer your tabletop decor
Layering doesn’t have to stop at the bedroom or living room with throw blankets and pillows. I love layering my table decor as well. I chose a very rustic placemat for Fall. I then layered it with a dinner plate and salad plate, all from Walmart. I made my table napkins the focal point with their beautiful colors of purple. I loved the matte brass utensils that Walmart had to offer as well.
This season is all about inviting loved ones into your home and making them feel comfortable. You not only want your table to be the focal point for conversation and laughter, but look beautiful too. Have fun with decorating and make it your own. I believe in you, you can do it.
