Part two of decorating my children’s room for Christmas. If you haven’t read part one, where I added Beddy’s bedding to their room, I highly recommend you do so.
I actually transformed my son and daughter’s room into a Santa’s Christmas Workshop: Pottery Barn Kids Themed Children’s Room while they were over their grandmother’s, my moms house, for a sleepover. We did a trial run for what their room would look like for Christmas morning.
A little back story… my son and daughter absolutely love to color. You can find my daughter in her room most days at her desk or just sitting quietly on the floor with a coloring book or a white poster board piece of paper and crayons. They are quite passionate about the arts and love to be creative. I have to say that they got this trait from their momma!
The desk they currently have in their room can only accommodate one child at a time. They also do not have much storage for all of their supplies. Sometimes it is a struggle to think of the perfect Christmas gift for them, but not this year. I researched and found the perfect craft table long enough to seat two with table room and two drawers for storage. It even came with a spool to hold a paper roll. Jackpot!
To take it up a notch, I decked out the table and made it into Santa’s workshop with donuts, wrapping paper, two Christmas plates, a letter board and gift boxes. On Christmas morning I am going to fill the drawers with art supplies, lay coloring books on the table and add some hot cocoa with whipped cream. Oh and the added touch, a noble spruce Christmas tree with glittered candy canes and pom stems. Oh what fun I had!
This is where my passion shines and I get so excited to spoil the ones I love the most.
