Whenever we travel, we always head to Walmart for our essentials. They have a wide assortment of travel-size toiletries. Walmart is a one-size fits all for our family. They have everything we need for our family of five. I can find a travel outfit for myself while also picking up diapers for my toddler and sand toys for my son and daughter and snacks for all three kids. You can definitely say I am organized and like to take care of our shopping weeks prior to our trips.
This post has been sponsored by Walmart. Thank you for supporting the brands I know and love.
I put together my 5 favorite go-to essential items for every vacation:
1. Packing Cubes
While we purchased the essentials at Walmart store, I shop Walmart online for our luggage and carry-on items. My best secret for organization when traveling is packing cubes. I LOVE THEM! I pack one outfit a day along with pajamas in each cube for everyone. This way every day is already planned out. They really came in handy when we drove down to Florida and stayed over at a hotel for one night. I had five cubes packed in one bag for each member of our family. It was so convenient as we were super exhausted and we didn’t even have to dig through our bags searching for something to wear.
2. Cozy & Cute Outfit
For the day of travel, I need my outfit to be comfortable, but I also want it to be fashionable. I found an adorable dress from Walmart. It is also super comfortable. The color is gorgeous and they have multiple options in the same dress. I also chose to wear flats, especially if we are in the airport and handling all the luggage with three little ones.
3. Duffel Bag
I really love duffel bags. I use them for an overnight stay or for my carry-on luggage for the airplane. I keep all of my essentials inside the duffel from my electronics to medicine and toiletry items. TRAVEL TIP: I always keep a spare pair of clothes and pajamas inside my duffel incase for any reason my luggage gets lost.
4. Electronics Bag
I use my electronics bag during travel, but I also keep it in my nightstand on a daily basis. This electronics bag is so handy. It stores my external hard drive, USB’s and phone cable cords. It is so convenient in the car or on the plane: I just pull out the pouch and have all my accessories I need to work. It even has zipper compartments so my earpods and USB’s don’t fall out when the pouch is unzippered. For my nightstand, cables used to be everywhere in my drawer. This pouch now consolidates everything and keeps all the cords organized.
5. Slippers
My last essential item for travel is slippers. I also keep one pair of slippers just for travel. You can put the slippers on in the car or on the plane for extra comfort. When you get to your hotel or Airbnb, you can wear your slippers because I will not walk around barefoot where millions of other people have as well. This probably stems from my husband being a microbiologist and everything he has seen at work.
Travel is honestly made so much easier with the help from Walmart. All of the essential items that I use on my trips I am able to reuse for trips to come. I do highly recommend using these items for your next travel destination whether it is time with the family or a romantic getaway with your significant other. I would like to hear how you utilized my tips.
